Niger: Seven job force members hospitalised after encounter with terrorists

At least seven top commanders and other members of the Niger State Joint Security Task Force that suffered injuries in the weapon fight with some gunmen on Saturday in Galadiman Kogo, Shiroro Local Government Area of the state, are said to be undergoing medical treatment in Minna.

Nevertheless, four freshly hired local vigilantes working in communities in the location were eliminated during the fight.

Validating the occurrence, the Chairman of Shiroro Local Government Area, Mallam Suleiman Chukuba, who might not give the exact casualty figure, described the circumstance as awful, unfortunate and devastating.

After the attack on Galadiman Kogi, it was also gathered that the residents of Kuchi, Guni, Sabon Kabula, Mararaban Zagzaga, and Chibani in Munya local government were leaving their houses, when they discovered that the JSTF camp sited at Kuchi area was shut down early hours of today unceremoniously.
