Guv Abiodun stated this just weeks after four teenagers were detained for beheading a girl for money ritual functions in the state.

The suspects were stated to have discovered the art through Facebook.

In a declaration on Wednesday, Governor Abiodun said propriety should be brought back into the mind of kids, including that all hands should be on deck to detain the moral decadence, especially amongst the youths who are tricked that there is a faster way to success.

“We all owe it a duty to stop this scourge by whatever legal ways possible. I can ensure you that we will battle this hazard with everything at our disposal. We will not be determined by this notoriety,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Our culture resent this and we need to bring propriety back into the psyche of the children who we will leave the future behind for.”

The Governor said ritualists will be made to function as examples for anyone harbouring such ominous paths to wealth acquisition.

“For us, we have actually emplaced security measures in schools and all the towns, towns and hamlets to make sure zero-tolerance for ritualists. We will route them, collar them, examine them and make them serve as examples for those harbouring such sinister routes to wealth acquisition.

“You will remember that the Government made parents sign an undertaking on behalf of their wards as part of conditions for enrolment into schools the last term.

“This is to make them partially answerable for their wards’ vices and we are serious about stemming the tide of indiscipline in our state usually.

“Ogun has always been defined by integrity, hard work, valour, diligence and service. All hands must be on deck to jail the ethical decadence, especially, among the youths who are tricked that there is a shortcut to success.

“Let me caution once again, for the umpteenth time that anybody caught taking part in ritual killings and other crimes will be made to face the wrath of the law,” he concluded.
