Gunmen on Monday killed 2 policemen and abducted a couple in Anambra State.

The couple, whose names were offered as Mr Ceejay and Dr Nini, were said to have been abducted in Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.

A source stated the couple were headed to Owerri Airport, Imo State, before the event occurred.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenganyia Tochukwu, said he was yet to get such info.

A senior authorities officer, who did not want to be discussed since he is not authorised to speak, said the abducted couple were later on released on Monday night.

He included that the couple were dropped off by the ruffians at Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state.
