2023: My governmental aspiration in God’s hands, not threatened in APC– Umahi

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Monday, stated his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, does not position a hazard to his presidential aspiration. Umahi revealed that his presidential ambition was in the hands of God.

Speaking on Channels television, the guv said the more governors APC have, the more possibilities of the celebration emerging triumphant in the 2023 elections.

According to Umahi: “I will rejoice rather than being threatened. My aspiration remains in the hand of God.

“The more we have governors in the APC, the more opportunity we have to win the election. The more chances we need to continue the project of Nigeria from where Mr President will leave it by 2023.”

Umahi had meant running for the presidency in 2023.

The Chairman of the southeast governors had actually notified Buhari of his governmental aspiration.

Umahi, while speaking on the development, divulged that Buhari directed him to seek the support of the people and seek advice from commonly with party members and chieftains across the nation.
