Oh No! Authorities Commission Secretary, Alo Loses 10-Year-Old Son

William Alo, the Police Service Commission (PSC) Secretary, has lost his 10-year-old son, Mathew Akachukwu Alo.

The child died in a domestic mishap at the family home in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi.

A declaration by PSC Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani stated Mathew died on January 9 and was buried on Saturday.

It noted that the deceased was helping his parents amuse visitors up until catastrophe struck between 6pm and 5pm.

“He was involved in a domestic mishap and was up to the cold hands of death,” the representative revealed.

PSC Chairman, Musiliu Smith, a former Inspector-General of Police, explained the manner of death as devastating.

The commission prayed God to give the whole family and associates the perseverance to bear the loss.

The funeral mass was led by the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Nworie Chukwu.

In participation were ex-Ebonyi Governor, Martin Elechi and partner; former Chief Justices of Ebonyi, Aloy Nwankwo and Anselm Nwaigwe; ex-Secretaries to State Government, Boniface Chima and Hyginus Nwokwu, to name a few.

“He was so connected to me that it will take many years to get used to the truth of his irreversible lack”, Alo said.

The Federal Permanent Secretary comes from Ekwetekwe-Umuezeoka in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi.
