President Muhammadu Buhari has responded to the death of Hassan Danbaba Marafa, who was the Magajin Garin Sokoto.

Buhari said he was stunned beyond words on getting the news of the passing of Marafa, who is the grand son of the late Premier of Northern Region, Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello.

“I am stunned beyond words. The Magajin Gari leaves a space that will be hard to fill out the Sultanate and our nation,” Buhari said in a statement signed by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.

‘Buhari kept in mind that Marafa was a pleased and warm fellow, adding that the Magajin Garin will be remembered as an envoy of the culture and customs of the Sultanate.

Buhari hoped that God consoles the family he left behind and the government and individuals of Sokoto State.

“May his soul Rest In Peace,” he prayed.
