Police rescue 16 abduct victims in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has actually rescued 16 victims from the den of abductors in the State.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammad Jalige, in a declaration, described that through its Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Buruku, the command received details that some individuals were sighted around Masallaci area, along Birnin Gwari roadway, believed to be victims of kidnapping.

The statement further explained that, “on the strength of the report, the DPO instantly mobilized workers on rescue mission to the area.

“On sighting the advancing troops, the ruffians required to their heels leaving behind sixteen (16) victims whom the operatives effectively rescued, specifically: Patience Markus ‘F’, Mercy Musa ‘F’, Gloria Sunday ‘F’, Yunis Sunday’M’, Peace Ayuba ‘F’, Grace Sunday ‘F’, Sarafina Sunday ‘F’ and Mechak Musa’M’.”

It mentioned that the victims are citizens of Udawa village of Chikun LGA, while “Musa Mudu’M’, Joshua Mudu’M’, Jummai Musa ‘F’, Alfa Markus’M’ are of Gadagi Baggi Village of the exact same Local Government Area.”

Other victims, according to the statement are “Abdulaziz Shola’M’, Tanimu Muhammed’M’, Mutari Idris’M’ and Sani Musa’M’ from Lagos, Kano, Zamfara and Niger States, respectively.”

The statement kept in mind that the success taped by the Command was not unconnected with the community participation and watchfulness, cum prompt reportage to the security agencies.

In another development, the Command also acted on a report that a Toyota Corolla automobile was seen parked in a seemingly suspicious way at old Tipper Garage, Mando, Kaduna.

The declaration stated that the Police Operatives of the Command, connected to Kawo Division, immediately swung into action and recuperated the automobile with Reg. No KSF 674 HD to the station for further investigation and possible arrest of the wrongdoers.

It explained that initial examination exposed that the stated lorry was snatched at gunpoint in Zaria city and that effort was on to recognize the rightful owner.
