The Zamfara State Police Command, on Thursday evening stated the joint operations comprising the police, army, NSCDC are yielding favorable lead to the state.

The authorities said the collective efforts of the sister security agencies have actually resulted in the rescue of 17 kidnapped victims and the arrest of a female Nigerien who took her neighbour’s child.

This was revealed on Thursday during a press briefing by the Zamfara Police Commissioner, CP Ayuba N Elkanah in Gusau.

According to him, military operatives released along Dansadau road in Maru LGA obstructed and saved 17 abducted victims, who were abducted December 14, 2021, in Wamba village of Mariga LGA of Niger State.

He stated the 17 saved victims were handed over to the command by the Brigade Commander 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, Gusau, where they were medically checked, debriefed by the police and turned over to the Commissioner of Police Niger State Command, who would reunite the victims with their households.

He stated the police also jailed other suspects in connection with different offenses; including criminal conspiracy, culpable murder, cannibalism and dealing with human parts.Elkanah added that the intestinal tracts, esophagus, penis and two eyes were recovered from them.

He stated throughout interrogation, among the suspects confessed that he was contracted to source for human parts at the amount of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000).

“The buyer of human parts, one Aminu Baba, a dad of 19 kids, admitted to the crime and his discoveries are assisting authorities examination in jailing other members of his gang,” he stated.

He even more admitted that he usually consumes the human parts and identified the throat as the most delicious part. He likewise offers some away.
