Coalition of Northern Groups

The Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG has reacted to the restriction on livestock supply from the North to the South East by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.Recall that on January 3, IPOB in a statement launched banned the slaughtering and eating of cows from Fulani herders during celebrations in the South-East region. The secessionist group also revealed the restriction on singing of Nigerian nationwide anthem in schools and on eating beef throughout occasions in the region. The group said these are some of its 7 action strategies to execute in 2022. Check out here.Reacting to this development, the spokesperson for CNG, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, stated

the CNG was not shocked that IPOB prohibited the singing of national anthem in Igboland and transport of cows to the South-East. He kept that they predicted the situation long earlier and in 2017 took vibrant and essential steps to address

Nigeria on the unfolding advancements.”Today everyone can see that the agitations and disruptions that have actually been ongoing ceaselessly considering that around 2015 are methodically being controlled towards rendering the nation practically ungovernable and ushering in anarchy and instability that could hint the separation of the country. We at the CNG are convinced beyond doubt that the revival of separatist agitations particularly by IPOB and its ilk in the South-East represent a much wider conspiracy to divide Nigeria and the existing routine of boycotts announced by IPOB aims to bring the North down on its knees by economic incapacitation and political balkanisation. The particular targeting of the North by the restriction that inadvertently exposes Northerners to impending attacks and profane treatment is focused on causing inter-regional crisis potentially resulting in a civil war or basic unrest. The economy and commercial health of both sides would suffer the consequences of the boycott.” ToriNG
