Boko Haram/ISWAP: Troops eliminate terrorists, take logistic materials

The Multi-National Joint Task Force(MNJTF)have eliminated scores of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists and impounded big amounts of their logistic materials in Kirawa, on the Nigeria and Cameroon borders.

Col. Muhammad Dole, the Chief of Military Public Information for MNJTF, in a declaration on Monday in N’Djamena Chad, said the operation was conducted by the troops of sector 1 Cameroon.

Dole reported that the troops conducted the operation in the Vretet-Zamga-Ngoshe triangle, where several Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents were neutralised, while lots of left with gunshot wounds.

According to him, a large quantity of products and assorted foodstuff were recovered throughout the operation.

He said products recovered consist of one AK47 rifle and Magazine, 21 bicycles, 01 BHT uniform, a number of ammo of the 7.62 MM special variation, 39 bags millet and two bags of beans.

Dole stated that an intelligence analysis suggested that the products were being smuggled from the borders to Sambisa forest.

“It’s believed the terrorists are stock piling products for the incoming month of Ramadan,” Dole said.

“Further exploitation of the engagement locations revealed traces of blood, proof of Boko Haram/ISWAP crooks eliminating remains of their dead coworkers while two corpses of Boko Haram crooks were found,” he stated.
