Magjin Garin Sokoto, Hassan
Danbaba According to a report by Daily Trust, Engineer Aminu Nuhu, a cousin of the late Magjin Garin Sokoto, Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, has offered information about the death of a grandchild of the late Premier of the defunct Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardaunan Sokoto.
Nuhu while speaking with Daily Trust about the death of his relative stated that the deceased collapsed and died this morning at his Kaduna’s home at 50.
The dispossessed further described Danbaba as a replica of his maternal grandpa, the late Premier of the defunct Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardaunan Sokoto.
In an emotion-laden voice, he stated, “The late Magjin Garin died this early morning and collapsed at his Kaduna’s home. Magjin Garin, like his grandfather, was a philanthropist and religious person who treated anyone he encountered as his brother. He is truly a replica of the Sardaunan. Truthfully, we lost a pillar.
“He died at 50, leaving behind his three better halves and 6 kids. His remains will be brought to Sokoto for burial at his household designated burial ground at Binanchi in the state’s metropolitan area.”
The deceased was prior to his death the Board chairman of the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority. He was also a senior counsellor at the Sultanate Council, Sokoto.
His death came nearly a year after the death of his mom who was the child of the late Premier.
