Niger Police parade 77 suspects with unsafe weapons in Minna

Niger State Police Command has paraded seventy-seven (77) more suspected hoodlums captured by the task force team in the state.

The suspects were collared in ownership of dangerous weapons and illegal drugs.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PRO DSP Wasiu Abiodun while parading the suspects in Minna, said they were jailed over the weekend from 28th-30th January 2022 at Tudun-Fulani, Rafin-Yashi, Gbeganu and Soje-An areas of Minna in furtherance to the Police effort in sanitizing Minna metropolitan area.

The figure according to him, is in addition to about one hundred (100) suspects apprehended from Limawa, Anguwar-Daji, Anguwar-Sarki, Abayi-Close, Kwangila, Anguwar-Biri, Anguwar-Kaje, Anguwar-Kadara, New-Market locations to name a few.

“The Command, for that reason, wants to assure Niger locals that the Police is not resting on its oars in ensuring peace and tranquillity in our communities.

The citizens/residents are hereby motivated to set about their lawful services without worry of intimidation, molestation or harassment,” the state Police PRO stated.
