On a see to the site of the event, the Chairman of Biase Local Government Area, Ada Charles Egwu, decried the level of unlawful mining activities in the location and called on security agents to increase security on the location to prevent such incident, Vanguard reports.

Egwu expressed her unhappiness towards the death of the young men who lost their lives due to the regrettable incident in a quote to earn a living.
