Troops Foil Kidnap Attempt In Gusau, Neutralise Bandits

File Photo Soldiers foiled an effort by outlaws to abduct the Managing Director of Zamfara State Transport Authority (Mass Transit) Alhaji Aminu Adamu Papa and his relative on Saturday night.

A neighbour confirmed the attack which took place in Mareri Community, an outskirt of Gusau, Zamfara state’s capital.

The neighbor who exposed that the greatly armed outlaws invaded the neighborhood around 11:30 pm on Saturday night and started shooting sporadically, told Channels Television that they went straight to Papa’s home and engaged the security operatives stationed there in a weapon battle before subduing the 2 cops and disarming them.Soldiers and regional vigilantes were rapidly mobilised, and they rapidly engaged the bandits with major gunfire. This forced the bandits to launch the abducted household members.He said;”Papa and his four member of the family were abducted,

however thank God that Soldiers and local vigilantes were rapidly mobilised, they quickly engaged the outlaws with serious shooting.”The security forces went after them and killed six of the bandits consisting of
