The governor stated, “Now, every council chairman need to go and determine where illegal refineries are occurring. You get N2million if you identify one. Go and recognize as many as you can.

“I will pay N2million for each one. And I am going to combat versus this. Our people are passing away and we owe our individuals the duty to protect them, to save them from death they never caused.

“So, you must, and you’re provided 48 hours to go and determine all illegal refineries websites, and those who are in charge of them.”

The guv emphasised that any of the council chairmen who was afraid to participate the battle against the bad guys operating the unlawful refineries need to be prepared to resign.

The governor urged the State Police Commissioner, Eboka Friday, to redeploy out of the state a specific DPO in Emohua Local Government Area operating an unlawful refinery in the location.

“It’s regrettable for this nation how security individuals will be involved in unlawful bunkering. I can’t think it. Mr. CP, I thank you for transferring the DPO in Rumuji, who owns a refinery. But the man needs to leave here, not transferred. He needs to leave this state.

“I can’t be governor here and security guy owns a prohibited refinery. No, it is not possible … the male has to go. Take him to any place they allow bunkering,” Wike mentioned.
