Armed Forces Remembrance Day: Gov Akeredolu hails military for dealing with insecurity

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has specified that no stone would be left unturned in his commitment to secure residents of the state.

While offering the guarantee on Saturday throughout the final Parade and laying of Wreaths in Commemoration of the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration held at the Government Cenotaph, Alagbaka, Akure, Akeredolu hailed the military for its efforts in the fight against terrorists, gunmen masquerading as herdsmen, bandits and other bad guys components in the country.

The guv who likewise admired both the left and the living heroes for their patriotism, urged the people to contribute kindly towards the wellness of the legionnaires.

“We on our part, without mincing words, have concerned applaud them, both the left and the living, for

their patriotism. They died our deaths, they bore our injuries, and they lost their lives for humankind.” They have undoubtedly sacrificed their lives for us to understand peace. My individuals, they deserve our praises, they deserve our honours, and they deserve our appreciations.”

“It would total up to doing them the greatest injustice, simply to praise them with words alone, but important, when it is backed up with our supports, economically and materially.”

He similarly valued those in charge of the security device in the State including the Amotekun Corps for their efforts at making sure peace and order in Ondo State, adding that federal government recognized and acknowledged their efforts along with saluted their gallantry and sacrifices.

Throughout the even Akeredolu dispersed microcredit revolving loans to 52 widows of the left heroes in the state.
