Carrying different placards, the protesters in their numbers chanted tunes saying “Putin, let there be peace”, “We are moms and dads of Nigerians caught in Ukraine”.

Many Nigerians in Abuja on Monday morning staged a protest in front of the Russian Embassy in Abuja over the recent intrusion of Ukraine by Russian troops.

Carrying different placards, the protesters in their numbers chanted songs saying “Putin, let there be peace”, “We are moms and dads of Nigerians trapped in Ukraine”.

They likewise used T-shirts with the emblem “Stop the war”.

The protesters, that include moms and dads, friends, and enjoyed among stranded and getting away Nigerians in Ukraine, lamented the horrific reports they’ve been receiving about their loved ones/wards being avoided from leaving Ukraine to other countries such as Hungary, Poland and others.

They called for peace in between Russia and Ukraine.
