Authorities bust robbery syndicate, purchaser of stolen products in Katsina

A robbery syndicate presumed to be responsible for looting homes and shops within Katsina city has been apprehended by a group of police detectives in the city.

While parading the suspects at the Katsina Force headquarter on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, SP Gambo Isah, gave the names of the jailed members as: Kamala Abdullahi 18, (aka Dan Small) of Yammawa Quarters, Katsina, Usman Hamisu 20, (aka Dan Ussy) of Tudun Yan Lihidda Quarters, Katsina, Muhammadu Abubakar 21, (alias Sarauta) of Rafukka Quarters, Katsina and Aminu Salisu 23 of Jibia LGA, Katsina.

According to SP Gambo, the suspects were jailed at a criminal hideout while preparing to go out for their dubious acts.

The PPRO further divulged that the following displays were recovered in their possession in the course of examination: an iron dagger, one machete, one hammer, and two Knives

The suspects while fielding questions from the press members admitted to the commission of the offence and mentioned one Sabi’u Salisu alias “DUNA”,’m’, 35 years of Kofar Sauri Quarters, as the receiver of the earnings of their theft.

Upon the arrest of the suspect, a search was carried out in his house where the following exhibits were recovered in his ownership: 4 iron doors, arrangement stuff, one bed mattress,20 sheep, 25 bags of pepper, one generator, one bundle of roof sheets.
