BREAKING: Buhari to sign Electoral expense Friday

President Muhammadu Buhari has held off signing of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill

A source near to the Presidency told Channels Tv that Buhari will assent to the electoral bill on Friday.

According to the source, Buhari will honour the new date.

Remember that the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, on Tuesday, stated that the President would sign the costs in between Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The President will sign the electoral costs any moment from now.

“It might be today, it might be tomorrow, it might be anytime, but within the 30 days,” Adesina stated.

The President had kept his assent to the electoral expense in November 2021, pointing out the cost of performing direct main elections, security obstacles, and possible manipulation of electoral procedures as his reason.
