26 Suspected Internet Fraudsters Arrested by EFCC In Ibadan (Photos)

At least 26 believed web fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the EFCC, on Friday, February 11, 2022.

One of the suspects, Babawale Daniel Olayinka even lied that he was a “Personal Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Media Matters”.

The suspects were jailed at Soka location of Ibadan, Oyo State, over alleged web -related fraud activities.

The arrests followed validated intelligence on their cybercrime activities.

Twenty-five of the suspects have admitted involvement in web fraud activities.

The prosecuted suspects are: Wale Jegede, Adekunle Solomon, Babawale Daniel Olayinka, Olanipekun Adams, Toheeb Admola, Olatunji Gbolahan, Oyowevotu Moses, Olaide Ibrahim Opeyemi, Olamilekan Rilwan, Olamilekan Akinyemi, Lekan Adenuga, Salami Segun, Lawal Samuel, Kolawole Fuad.

Others are: Olarenwaju Gbolahan, Makinde Olamiposi, Michael Timileyin, Sheriff Ololade, Adewale Dayo, Ajobola Tajudeen, Kazeem Warrees, Obinna Duru, Shotayo Sola, Mohammed Suleiman and Makinde Ajibola.

An identity card was recovered from Babawale Daniel Olayinka, one of the 25 arraigned web scams suspects, introducing him as an individual assistant on media matters to the Oyo State guv, Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.

Products recovered from the suspects include seven unique automobiles, a number of laptop computers, smart phones and incriminating files.
