Buhari provides Zorro new visit, sacks four assistants of Aisha

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, authorised the appointment of Muhammad Sani Zorro, a previous lawmaker, as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs and Strategy, Office of the First Lady. This is as Buhari approved the sack of an assistant and redeployment of three other assistants of the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, to the workplace of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

This was made understood in a declaration titled, ‘President Buhari Approves Sami Zorro SSA to First Lady, Redeployment and Disengagement of Others’ on Saturday by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity.

“Zorro, a well-known journalist, brings to the new task decades of experience in media practice, publishing, and unionist leadership. He was at different times President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, West African Journalists Association, and the Federation of African Journalists,” the statement read in part.

Those impacted by the redeployment include Hadi Uba (Special Assistant to the President on Administration), Wole Aboderin (Special Assistant to the President on Non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs), and Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman (Senior Special Assistant to the President on Health and Development Partners and Personal Physician to the First Lady).

Authorized with result from the 11th of this month is the disengagement of Zainab Kazeem, the Special Assistant to the President on Domestic and Social Events, Office of the First Lady.
