Benue: Ogbadibo council chairman, Onuh suspended over alleged gross misbehavior

The Legislative Council of Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State, has actually suspended the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Prince Samuel Onuh over “gross misbehavior”.

The council manager was suspended after a vote of no confidence was passed on him by members of the legislative home on Thursday 10th February, 2022.

The letter was signed by the Leader of your home, Hon. Idoko Jacob, and the Clerk, Hon. Adamu Suleiman.

The letter checks out: “Rising from her 66th sitting hung on 10/2/2022, the Ogbadibo Local Government Legislative Council has actually passed a vote of no self-confidence and immediate suspension of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Prince Samuel Onuh for a duration of 3 months after the movement was raised and seconded on the floor of the House on the following factors of gross misbehavior with no counter motion.

“Refusal to bring detailed income of environmental funds and its task proposal to your home after a number of requests.

“Refusal to provide to your home the contract arrangement of Ogbadibo IGR.

“Withholding July 2020 legislative grant of N1,000,000 (One Million naira just).

“Mismanagement of IGR earnings by spending from the source without following the monetary memorandum of the city government.

“Failure to present earnings and expense of the city government after numerous demands and invites from the legal House to Bureau for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs if they needed earnings and expenditure because they ran a JAAC account.”
