2023 elections: Nigeria passing through challenging moment, leaders must accept obligations– Okorocha
Rochas Okorocha, previous Governor of Imo State, has insisted that Nigeria is travelling through a hard minute ahead of the 2023 basic elections.
Okorocha likewise charged Nigerian leaders at all levels to begin to accept duties, including that despite today challenge, the country is not ended up.
The Senator representing Imo South Senatorial District stated this at the “2021 Our Nigeria News Awards “organized by Our Nigeria Magazine with the theme, “Nigeria is Our Nigeria: We Must Join Hands Together To Make It Work Or We Perish Together,” in Abuja, on Friday.
Okorocha said, “I have typically said to our leaders at all levels that we should start to accept duties. There is definitely nothing wrong with followers, but there can be something incorrect with leadership.
“As we approach the 2023 elections, I wish to appeal to Nigerians to take a second look to resolve the state of mind of the nation today and require unity of this country.
“We can dramatize this at all levels wherever we discover ourselves be it as Muslims or Christians and in whatever religion or people you might discover yourself.
“What is happening to Nigeria is that we are passing through a challenging moment of our time to compose the history of Nigeria, but a time will come when other countries will see us as the greatest country worldwide,” he said.
