Terrorism: I will emerge triumphant– Nnamdi Kanu pledges to beat Buhari govt
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Friday expressed optimism that he would emerge triumphant over the terrorism charges leveled against him by the Nigerian Government.
Kanu revealed hope that his existing trial at the Abuja Federal High Court would end quickly.
The pro-Biafra agitator is dealing with terrorism charges prior to Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court in Abuja.
The Nigerian Government leveled the charges against Kanu following his re-arrest and repatriation from Kenya.
He was caught in Kenya over his agitation for the actualization of Biafra and Nigeria’s separation by extension.
The IPOB leader stated that his current travel would only last for a while.
Kanu spoke throughout his regular meeting with his counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, at the Department of State Services, DSS, Headquarters in Abuja.
In a statement revealed by Ejiofor, the pro-Biafra agitator prompted his followers to be serene and prevent diversion.
The statement checks out partly: “Kanu deeply appeals to Umu Chineke to avail themselves of the peace initiative currently ongoing and not to be distracted anymore. He even more urged all Umu Chineke to keep their eyes on the ball since enemies are having a hard time fruitless to entrench disharmony.
“Onyendu restates that the ongoing interventions towards peaceful coexistence must be respected, abided and motivated by. His require unity among the whole Umu Chineke at all levels, who believe in his serene message can not be overemphasised.
“Further, Onyendu extends his warm regards to countless his fans and followers who have actually similarly stayed consistently, undaunted, and focused. He is convinced that the present situation will only last a while, and he will emerge victoriously.”
