Three Policemen and 2 local vigilantes were presumably killed by shooters in an attack in Kwanan Dutse, Mariga local government area of the Niger State on Monday.

The occurrence took place during a regular patrol by the Joint Security TaskForce, made up of the authorities and the regional vigilantes at about 4pm in the location

It was discovered that the Joint Security group had earlier on Sunday morning foiled an attack by another group of outlaws after about two hours of fire exchange at Bari village, along Tegina-Kontagora road.
