AFCON 2021: Asamoah Gyan names favourite countries to win prize

Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan, has actually named the 5 nations that are favourites to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.

Gyan said Algeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria and Morocco are the five nations that can win the 2021 AFCON.

Asked to call preferred to win the 2021 AFCON, Gyan informed CAF Online: “It is a very difficult one but for me, I believe Algeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Nigeria of course. Do not forget Morocco since they are also in good form.

“Going to the competition we got a great deal of favourites there, so let’s see what occurs.”

Gyan is Black Stars’ all-time top scorer with 51 goals and the most capped player (109 looks).

The 36-year-old became part of the group that conducted the draw for the continuous tournament in Cameroon in 2015.

Gyan, a previous Sunderland striker, is working as a television pundit for SuperSports for the ongoing 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
