Queens move against bandits, herders’ attacks in Ondo
Monarchs in Akoko axis of Ondo State, have disclosed their resolve to give an end the current wave of insecurity in the state.
According to the standard rulers, the recent surge of attacks on neighborhoods by presumed Fulani herders along with the activities of highway burglars in the State will soon be a distant memory.
The kings who converged on Oka-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko South West Local Government Area mentioned that the security scenario in the location had been stifling advancements in the four local governments within the axis.
While keeping that standard institutions will not allow wrongdoers to take over Akoko land, the Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba Yusuf Adeleye, said that divine and communal efforts will be applied to fix the threat.

Oba Adeleye revealed that the security scenario had affected company activities in Akoko land as financiers were not interested to purchase the neighborhoods due to the security scenarios.
On his part, the monarch of Akungba-Akoko, Oba Sunday Isaac Adeyeye, disclosed that efforts are in top equipment on the part of royal fathers to bring the perpetrators to book.

Meanwhile, the regent of Akunnu Akoko, Princess Tolani Orogun, who led a protest in her domain over the development stated the scenario calls for immediate steps.
