According to a report by Daily Post, some Nigerians have reacted to the commissioning of a rain gutter job by the lawmaker representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency at your home of Representatives, Ibrahim Isiaka.

In his comment, Jonathan Olajide, said, ” I saw some images on the Facebook, revealing the House of Reps member representing Ifo/Ewekoro, Ayokunle Isiaka, tossing a big celebration to mark the “commissioning” of a rain gutter job developed with Ecological Fund. The drain spans some miles in Ifo town.

” The building lasted for over 3 years. I asked myself: What is this I’m seeing in the images? Gutter project Inauguration. Wow. I’ve never seen that in my entire life. Even the Khaki guys never descended so low to “commission” seamless gutter. I saw hundreds of individuals under canopies hailing Isiaka for inaugurating seamless gutter, a kind that landlords are contributing in their flood-stricken neighborhoods.

” I found it debasing, nauseating and archaic that an extremely informed politician like Isiaka is “commissioning” a gutter in this 21st Century and youths are there stating: Baba k’ epe! We know that at a time like this when a basic survey is approaching, political leaders will scamper to make negligible donations to their constituents with the ulterior self-centered interest to curry their favour again. Condition shall not rise again. Emerge Nigeria.”

Bankole Taiwo in his reaction said, ” In Nigeria, we’re more interested in the showmanship aspect of things rather than just finishing the job and carrying on to the next one.

” To be honest, however, little blame should blame go to this man if we consider the amount of cash that would have been spent when Mr Buhari and other governors concerned Ogun State to inaugurate expected “Landmark” tasks!”

Also, Adeosun Sabur explained the program around the project as “useless and rubbish from our leaders,” stating “how can someone commission gutter, Ogun State, we put on go into one opportunity.”

Other commentators likewise aired their disbelief and anger over the job.
