Half-naked women storm Akoko streets, protest over insecurity in Ondo [IMAGES]
With the recent spate of insecurity in Ondo State, females in Akoko axis of the state on Saturday, protested against attacks on residents and communities by gunmen.
The females, who were half-naked stormed the streets of Akoko communities in the northern senatorial location of the state to protest versus the insecurity circumstance.
The serene protest staged in Oka Akoko, Akungba Akoko along with some other Akoko towns.
It was collected that demonstrations were activated by the current abduct of instructors by some bandits in Auga Akoko, the attack of 17 visitors on Ifira Akoko-Isua Akoko roadway by armed robbers to name a few.
With the half naked women chanting different tunes, they held brooms as they moved through the streets.
The protesters appealed to security agencies in addition to the state government to urgently resolve the concern in order for peace to return to the impacted communities.
While attending to the protesting ladies, the Chairman, Akoko Divisional Traditional Council of the four local governments and emperor of Oka-Akoko, Oba Yusuf Adeleye, guaranteed that the security breaches would soon vanish. facing the nation, Ondo State and Akokoland will soon end up being a distant memory.
According to him, communal efforts and traditional efforts will be applied as parts of services to the issues.
The queen appealed to various communities in Akokoland to arrange vigilante groups while local hunters must be encouraged to enhance the efforts of existing security companies.
