Judiciary, legislature has no autonomy in Cross River– Lawmaker

Esua who is likewise previous Chairman, House Committee on Public Petitions, Public Service Matters and Conflict resolution said it is a purposeful attempt by the executive to control and dictate to them.

“Recently, there was a long strike by judicial workers over judicial autonomy.

“There is also no independence or autonomy in the state parliament.

Esua who is viewed as the only outspoken legislator in the Assembly said the act is deliberate.
