Suspended DCP Abba Kyari has refused to eat food prepared by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

According to Vanguard, Kyari is currently being held inside his cell at Gambia Street, Area 11, Garriki, Abuja.

NDLEA sources stated he had been depending on food brought by a yet-to-be-identified good friend, rather of consuming what was prepared for him and other prisoners inside the cell.

It was gathered that the when appreciated and highly rated policeman confided in his fellow cellmates that he didn’t trust whatever officials of the firm would give him due to the fact that he wishes to be alive to state his innocence over the allegations against him.

It was likewise discovered that practically 24 hours after he was declared wanted by the firm and later on detained by the authorities and turned over to them, no visitor has been permitted to see him and four other personnel of the IGP group.

This, according to sources, is based on regulations from NDLEA boss, Buba Marwa, that none of the suspects should be enabled to receive visitors up until the agency completes examinations into accusations against them.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, was quoted as stating that the suspects were being fed as and when due and that no one was starving them.

“We enabled Kyari’s relative to bring his food based upon an unique request,” stated Babafemi.
