Anambra: 22,000 people apply online to serve in Soludo government

No fewer than 22,000 persons reportedly applied through online to work under the incoming federal government of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as guv of Anambra State.

The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor will on March 17 be inaugurated as the next guv of the state, after Chief Willie Obiano.

Soludo had 2 weeks ago opened a website for those interested to serve in his government to use.

He described them as issue solvers, advising them to state specific problems they can fix for the state.

A media assistant to Soludo, Mr Joe Anatune, said applications gotten for jobs had clocked 22,000 since Monday, February 28.

Anatune stated the online talent hunt was a kind of information bank that would be maintained by the state federal government to recognize the sector each applicant would be employed.

He said, “This is not a one-off thing however a sort of employment bank or database from which candidates are engaged depending upon the need for such task specifications.”
