2023: Buhari’s assent to electoral expense will change nothing in Nigeria– Pastor Giwa

Following the finalizing into law of the re-worked Electoral Act Amendment Bill by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, the Senior Pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Pastor Adewale Giwa, has mentioned that the relocation will not have any impact on the country’s political area.

According to Giwa, the 2023 elections will be of no distinction from the previous polls till the needful is done.

The primary pastor during an interview on Sunday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, stated a referendum should be performed to correctly address Nigeria’s problems.

“Nobody is pertaining to change anything in Nigeria, unless we restructure our system.

“Also, the politicians led by President Muhammadu Buhari need to as a matter of seriousness require a referendum to understand the complaints of Nigeria.

“He needs to also discover a method to put aside the 1999 constitution and enable the people determine what they want.

“The electoral bill signed by the president will not make any difference. They signed a costs that will favour them and to offer Nigerian political leaders what they want. We need to return to option A4 electoral system that will make the votes of the electorate count.

“As it is, if Nigeria goes ahead with the 2023 elections without the aforementioned service, absolutely nothing absolutely is going to alter.”
