13 killed as ISWAP attack four towns in Borno

At least 13 individuals were reportedly eliminated by fighters from the Islamic State for West African Province, ISWAP, within 48 hours in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.

ISWAP on Sunday reportedly attacked Sabongari village, a couple of kilometres from Damboa town in Damboa Local Government Area of the state.

“The attackers left 7 individuals dead,” regional vigilantes informed DAILY POST on Sunday.

This is coming barely 24 hours after an attack was reported in Mandaragirau and Ghuma towns in Biu Local Government Area.

It was likewise less than 48 hours after the insurgents attacked Kautikari village in Chibok, leaving numerous persons dead.

Locals in Mandaragirau village said this is the second time the insurgents will be assaulting their town in February.

According to them, the first time, they came and abducted some young men from the village, who are still in captivity.

The attack in Mandaragirau town left three persons dead with scores injured, according to residents from the area.

“In Ghuma town, they abducted two girls and looted food products. They also razed down shops and took some animals with them,” One Umar Audu told our correspondent.
