Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has authorized the appointment of a former Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Babatunde Olaniyan, as Sole Administrator of Shooting Stars Sports Club also known as 3SC.

The club is an Ibadan-based football club.

Makinde announced the consultation on Friday.

DAILY POST recalls that Olaniyan represented Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly between 2011 and 2015, during which he served as Deputy Speaker.

He won the election on the platform of the Accord Party (AP).

Makinde, in the appointment letter signed on his behalf by Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun, prompted the new sole administrator to discharge his tasks with “absolute loyalty”.

He said, “I am delighted to notify you that the Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, has actually happily authorized your appointment as a Sole Administrator for Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) with impact from 24th February 2022 ″.

Our reporter gathered that Olaniyan holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Kinetics and Health Education from the University of Ibadan.
