FCT Council Polls: Victory in AMAC excellent signal for 2023– PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Sunday, described its return to power in the simply concluded FCT Municipal Council (AMAC) election as a sign of victory for the 2023 basic elections.

Dr Iyorchia Ayu, PDP’s National Chairman, in a statement he personally signed, said that the victory in the FCT area council election would be reproduced in the Osun and Ekiti States governorship elections.

Recall that AMAC’s PDP prospect, Christopher Zakka, polled 19,302 votes to beat his closet competing Murtala Usman of the APC, who surveyed 13,240 votes.

“What we have simply attained in Abuja, the seat of power, will be duplicated in Ekiti and Osun states later this year, culminating in our take-over of power at the centre next year, to introduce a better, more thriving and safe and secure Nigeria,” he said.

Ayu further mentioned that the PDP is back to rescue Nigeria and the triumph in AMAC was “an excellent prophecy” under his watch.”

He included that his leadership would lead PDP back to winning methods and restoring Nigeria.

“The victory of our great party, the PDP, signposts the pledge of a much better Nigeria under my watch, leading this group of committed and devoted party members.

“This victory is dedicated to all leaders of our party, especially the state guvs, NEC members, NWC members in addition to the countless celebration members across the country”, Ayu stated.
