FIFA Club World Cup last: Chelsea beat Palmeiras to raise prize

Chelsea on Saturday night defeated Palmeiras 2-1 in the FIFA Club World Cup final to win the competition.

The FIFA Club World Cup final was played at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Romelu Lukaku scored for Chelsea in 55 minutes of the encounter prior to Raphael Veiga matched for the Brazilian side 9 minutes later from the spot-kick.

Kai Havertz netted a late charge in the 2nd half of extra time to provide Chelsea their first FIFA Club World Cup trophy.

Chelsea’s next component protests Crystal Palace in the Premier League next Saturday.
