Long lines of cars, motorbikes and tricycles have actually resurfaced in the majority of parts of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

DAILY POST correspondent who went round some strategic locations in Ibadan on Wednesday and Thursday observed that long queues of industrial and private vehicles, motorbikes and tricycles have actually resurfaced in most of the petroleum stations in the ancient city.

Some of the areas checked out by our correspondent consisted of Sango, Bodija, Total Garden, Mokola, Apete, Awotan, Ijokodo and Gate.

Others included Dugbe, Iyaganku, Ring Road and Apata.

Our correspondent gathered the long queues began on Wednesday when a few of the petroleum stations closed their doors against prospective buyers owing to an alarm raised by the Federal Government that some adulterated petroleum items have been imported into the country.

This made majority of the petroleum stations to close.

The closure resulted into long queues in most of the petroleum stations that opened for clients. Findings by DAILY POST exposed that the couple of stations that belonged to the independent marketers sold the item between N185 and N200.

Just couple of petroleum stations that belonged to significant marketers such as BOVAS, MOBIL and Total kept their rates of N162 per litre.

Nevertheless, Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Mr. Bukola Mutiu, when gotten in touch with on Thursday, stated that he can not react now since he was in the middle of a program.
