There is stress in Enugu, the Coal City Capital, following the reported killing of about three cops by yet to be determined shooters.

DAILY POST found out that the incident happened in the Maryland area, around the Lomalinda Estate.

There is conflicting information on the number of sources but casualties put it in between 3 and 4.

A source hinted that the shooters kidnapped a man extremely near Treasure Point, along Ugwuaji Road before engaging the authorities in a shootout.

When called, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the attack.

He, nevertheless, did not offer the casualty figure.

“Information surrounding the event is still questionable. A manhunt for the ruffians has been initiated. Further development will be communicated, please,” he told DAILY POST in a terse statement.
