Bauchi Emir cautions against picking leaders on sentiments, religious beliefs or people

The Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu has warned against permitting religious and tribal sentiment to influence the choice of leaders in the nation.

He warned Nigerians who are desperate to select management, based upon sentiments, faith and riches that it would spell doom for the country.

The emir specified this while getting a group, the Nigeria Agenda (TNA) group who paid him an Advocacy check out in his palace on Thursday in Bauchi.

The Emir advised that leaders ought to be truthful, genuine and simply while carrying out their duties.

He applauded the efforts of the TNA team for promoting the Nigeria Agenda and unity of the country, just as he wished their success, stating the mission of the group would change the narrative of the nation.

Responding, TNA spokesperson, Ahmed Sajoh stated they were in the palace to seek his blessings and likewise intimate him on their objective.

He said the group advocates for unity, togetherness and for Nigerians to see the nation as one entity.

According to him, it’s possible to prevent presenting tribal beliefs, religious aspects and the north/south dichotomy as we pursue the common good of this country.
