Timothy Adegoke: FG files notice of discontinuance

The Federal Government has issued a notification of discontinuance in the case of Timothy Oludare Adegoke.

The notification, which was contained in charge number CR/015/2022, dated February 7, 2022, and obtained by DAILY POST, asked the worried parties to, “take notice that the complainant stops all of the proceedings in this case against the above-named accuseds for further examination.

Remember that Timothy Oludare Adegoke, an MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, died in November 2021 in Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife.

After his death, the Chairman of Hilton Hotel, Dr Rahman Adedoyin, and six others have been jailed and slammed with charges while three others are still at big.

The Adegoke family nevertheless connected with Femi Falana, a human rights legal representative, to take over the prosecution of the case.

Falana has given that written the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Ahmed, asking for that since the criminal offense was committed in Ile-Ife, Osun State, the case must be described the Osun State Attorney General which will allow it to be heard in an Osun State High Court.
