2023 elections: PDP can beat APC– Bande joins Kebbi guber race

Retired Maj-Gen. Aminu Bande has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) might floor President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.

The governorship candidate dismissed the incumbency element, recalling that the APC beat PDP in 2015 in spite of being in power.

Bande spoke on Monday, while revealing his entry into the Kebbi State governorship race. The hopeful was the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Nigerian Army Division Sokoto up until retirement.

Bande informed reporters at the state celebration secretariat in Birnin Kebbi that he decided to contest to improve the lives of individuals.

He said the elections provided an opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the state and Nigeria.

“I feel I need to join the present democratic process. My celebration, the PDP exists readily available for me to aspire to whatever position I prefer.

“I believe 2023 will be different, if incumbency aspect is anything to go by, today administration wouldn’t have actually concerned power at various levels.

“PDP was in power in 2015, however President Buhari and other governors came onboard. Individuals will choose what benefits them,” the ex-GOC worried.

PDP Chairman in Kebbi State, Usman Bello-Suru, applauded Bande for picking the opposition party and ensured him of a level playing ground.
