Panic As Prison Official Is Found Dead Along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway
File picture According to a report by The PUNCH, the lifeless body of a man, identified as O.O Bawa, has actually been discovered near a military checkpoint along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The victim, who was identified through his identity card, was said to have bullet injuries.
An eyewitness said the body triggered panic, explaining the situation surrounding the victim’s death as controversial.
There are unofficial reports that the victim was with a friend when he was shot by security operatives for refusing to pick up a search.
The eyewitness stated, “He was coming with a buddy from Abuja. The deceased was with a civilian who was driving the automobile which they remained in, an unmarked Toyota Venza.
“The duo were stated to have refused to pick up a search when they approached a barricade on the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway. Those at the point were upset. They notified another search group ahead and described the vehicle and its plate number.
“So, while Bawa and his pal got to Goni Gora, they opened fire on them. Among the bullets struck Bawa at the back of his head and he died right away.”
Efforts to reach authorities of the NigerianArmy showed abortive since the time of filing this report.
