The Senate on Tuesday made up a committee on the proposed upgrade of the College of Agriculture, Kabba in Kogi West Senatorial District.

Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege who commanded Tuesday’s plenary in the lack of President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan announced the composition.

The Committee is detailed to exercise modalities of the upgrade of the College of Agriculture A.B.U Campus, Kabba, to a Federal University of Agriculture, Kabba.

The conference committee is chaired by Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Niger State).

Other members consist of Senators Chukwuka Utazi (Enugu), Patrick Akinyelure (Ondo), Eyakenyi Akon Etim (Akwa-Ibom), Abdu Kwari Suleiman (Kaduna) and Sahabi Ya’u (Zamfara).

In line with legislative treatment, the Committee is anticipated to consult with another committee in the lower legal chamber to balance positions on the College’s facility costs and turn in their final report in four weeks.
