Nigeria vs Ghana: Peseiro needs to grind out results– Eguavoen

Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Augustine Eguavoen, has stated he will do all he can to assist Jose Peseiro if he eventually organizes the nationwide group.

Eguavoen was the interim coach of the Super Eagles at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

He has because stepped down from the role after Nigeria were eliminated by Tunisia in the Round of 16.

The ex-captain states he is prepared to back Peseiro to the hilt if the NFF choose to select the Portuguese ahead of the 2022 World Cup play-offs against Ghana.

“He is coming to a foreign nation.

“We’ve been on ground and we need to work closely. We will provide him whatever to make him be successful since it is country initially.

“I will give him my report to study.

“I will inform him the background, the culture, how we run here. Our approach and our design of football, and he will bring his own and we will look at it together and map out methods for how we can make the nation progress. Just to make certain we make him very comfy and then he has absolutely nothing to worry about but simply to grind out outcomes,” Eguavoen told ESPN.
