Panic As Kidnappers Gun Down Police Officers In Jigawa, Set Patrol Van On Fire
File photo According to a report by Daily Trust, some law enforcement officers have been gunned down at Kwalam, among the populous neighborhoods in Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The departed officers were trying to avoid the abduction of the son-in-law of Haruna Maifata, a popular contractor to the state federal government, when they lost their lives.
After eliminating the officers, the kidnappers abducted Ma’aru Abubakar, the son-in-law to the specialist, and set an authorities patrol van on fire.
The Police spokesperson in Jigawa, Lawan Shissu Adam, verified the occurrence to press reporters, saying efforts were being made to detain the suspects.
He determined the deceased officers as Anas Usaini, a superintendent of authorities, and Sunusi Alhassan, an inspector.
Citizens stated shooters invaded the prime target’s home after assaulting security development and entered into the town undisputed.
The occurrence took place less than 3 months after Kabiru Taura, a business owner, was abducted and released after he supposedly paid over N20 million ransom.
