Court Remands Cemetery Worker Over Alleged R * pe Of Ondo Minor

File Photo A court has bought a cemetery employee identified as Seun Owoyemi, to be remanded at Olokuta Correctional Centre for supposedly defiling a minor.

The 32-year-old suspect supposedly dedicated the offence on January 10 at Igesa Street, Igbara-Oke, head office of Ifedore local government.He was implicated of drawing the minor with N100 and having unlawful carnal knowledge of her twice, in contravention of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1 Laws of Ondo State.Owoyemi pleaded innocent to the charge and it was declared that he implicated the victim and her grandmother of trying to implicate him in his declaration. Administering Magistrate, O.L. Abu remanded the defendant to the Correctional Centre and bought the

district attorney to duplicate the case file and send out to the Department of Public Prosecution for legal advice.The case was adjourned to February 28, 2022, for discussing. ToriNG
