Political celebrations have been urged to grant full financial waivers to women contesting for political positions in 2023.

The partner of the Minister for Transportation, Judith Amaechi, who made the appeal on Wednesday, recognized financing as a major challenge dealing with involvement of females in Nigerian politics.

According to a statement provided by her media aide, Dike Bekwele, the previous First Lady of Rivers, spoke at a two-day APC Progressives Women Conference in Abuja.

She contacted political parties to, as a matter of policy, review the financial participation of women and grant complete financial waivers to motivate complete ladies participation in elections.

Amaechi expressed issue that a lot of ladies with intellectual and leadership capacities have actually stayed away from politics and political contests due to big monetary responsibility.
