NRC suspends 8 am train ride

The Nigeria Railway Corporation, NRC, has suspended the 8 am train ride from Ujevwu in Delta State from January 17 due to technical glitches.

Mr Fidet Okhiria, NRC’s Managing Director, said that procedures were, nevertheless, in location to remedy the issues at the earliest possible time.

This is coming less than a couple of weeks after the Federal Government of Nigeria declared complimentary train trips for Nigerians from December 24 to January 4, 2022.

“This is to inform the public and most particularly our prestigious guests that due to technical drawbacks, the 08:00 hrs train from Ujevwu station willn’t range from tomorrow, Jan. 17.

“The 14:15 hrs train will, however, continue to run.

“Be guaranteed that every effort is being made to guarantee that this disruption is for a very little period of time.

“We are sorry for any inconveniences this may cause our prestigious guests,” Okhiria said as quoted by NAN.
