Manchester United interim supervisor, Ralf Rangnick, has discussed why Cristiano Ronaldo is not in the squad to deal with Aston Villa on Saturday. Ronaldo is the most significant absentee in the United team for their Premier League clash

at Villa Park. Rangnick claims it is since of a hip problem, which saw the 36-year-old leave training early on Friday.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is out with a hip flexor injury and couldn’t train on Friday,” he told reporters ahead of the video game.

Rangnick has selected Edinson Cavani to lead his attack.

Captain Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford are on the bench.
